Jay Abraham is a brilliant marketing consultant. One of his key insights into business is summarized in the following statement:
“There are only three ways to increase your business:
1. Increase the number of clients.
2. Increase the average size of the sale per client.
3. Increase the number of times clients return and buy again.”
That’s it! Increase any one of these areas and you will experience growth in your business. Increase all three of these areas and you will experience exponential growth. This is an amazing insight and I encourage you to ponder the significance of it. But first I want to expand this principle into the arena of our relationships. If we are going to experience significant improvement in our relationships, I want to propose these suggestions in your relationships:
1. Increase the number of deep relationships in your life (friends, family, heroes, God, mentors, co-workers, etc.)
2. Increase the length of timeyou spend with them on each visit.
3. Increase the frequency of visits.
If you make an increase in one of these areas, you will experience personal growth. If you intentionally go after growth in all three of these areas, you will experience a tremendous amount of fulfillment in your life.
Relationships matter. You were designed for deep and meaningful relationships with others. Time spent investing in relationships is time well spent! What’s one relationship that needs attention today?
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
